I'm happy to say that I've been painting a lot of dogs lately. As many of you, my dear readers, know - dogs have been a big part of my life. For MANY years I trained, traveled and showed my dogs in conformation, obedience, rally and (mostly) agility. So much fun! These days, I spend my doggy time loving on and going for long walk with my current constant canine companion, Phoebe. I still have many friends and collectors that are dog lovers too in my life. A number of you (thank you!) have been asking me lately to do commissions of dogs for you. I'm thrilled to share that my piece "Low Tide" won an award at this year's CCAL Juried Show. This is the first time I was brave enough to enter the Masters category (versus Amateur) so I wasn't expecting to receive an award this year. Love that the jurors felt it deserved this honor.
