It is so exciting to have a chance to create a custom commission artwork just for you.
Let's turn your favorite idea or photograph into an original oil painting. Send your jpeg images to me using the form below (or by email at barbara@bteusinkart.com) and we can discuss the best options. I involve you during the entire process. I will provide a preliminary sketch for your approval. Upon sketch approval, I require a 50% non-refundable deposit. This covers my time and materials. The remaining balance is due after final approval of the painting and is covered by my satisfaction guarantee. All copyright on commissioned works are retained by me, ©Barbara Teusink.
Generally your photos will be used to create the commission. Photos must either be taken by you or provided with a written copyright release by the photographer. Your artwork will be painted using professional grade oil paints on canvas or hardboard panel. Artwork prices are for unframed pieces. Frames can be included for an additional fee. I will quote you a price dependent on the size of your finished piece. Complex backgrounds and additional subjects within a single painting may require additional fees. Shipping (if needed) is based on rates by USPS or UPS with insurance. A deposit is required to book all commissions.
It normally takes me about a month to do a commission and I often have a few already in the queue so please plan ahead!
